The roots of our passion

A legacy that continues over time

The history of LG Cameo is rooted in Giovanni Giannini, born in Torre del Greco in 1924. From an early age, he demonstrated a natural inclination for drawing and art, qualities that led him, as a teenager, to embark on a career in cameo engraving in one of the city's historic workshops.

Thanks to his talent and extraordinary ability to learn the secrets of engraving, he quickly distinguished himself, eventually becoming an independent master. He opened his own workshop, collaborating with some of Torre del Greco's most important cameo exporters and helping to spread the local artisanal tradition worldwide.

His career, however, was interrupted by a rare illness that prevented him from continuing his recording career. Despite this difficult ordeal, Giovanni Giannini never abandoned his artistic vocation, dedicating himself with equal passion to painting and nativity scene art.

Today, that same legacy of experience, creativity, and dedication lives on in the LG Cameo workshop, where each creation is born with respect for family tradition and the authentic art of cameo making.
